Progress in the Santa Ana riverbed has picked up significantly now that the rainy weather is mostly behind us. While the majority of this Army Corps of Engineers project is already complete, the contractor's ongoing work continues, including the construction of irrigation improvements, erosion repairs, hydroseeding, and installing landscape improvements in the riverbed. The contractor has completed the installation of the permanent driveway and pedestrian connection at La Palma and Camino De Bryant. Overall completion of the project is still expected by late May, to be followed by one year of maintenance.
City staff will continue to work with the Corps and their contractor to help mitigate impacts on residents in the project vicinity.
