Progress continues for the Army Corps of Engineers project in the Santa Ana riverbed. The Army Corps' contractor, Silversand Construction, continues to move east along the river, installing slope backfill, sand, and rock. The work is moving closer to the homes east of Gypsum Canyon, and as a result, residents in the area will likely experience more disruption. As reported last month, the contractors continue to monitor vibration levels. In addition, they will proactively reach out directly to residents to address concerns and provide advance notice of what to expect. City staff will continue working with the contractors to help minimize impacts on the surrounding community and continue participating in project update meetings to help address residents' concerns.
