Message From the Chief

Safeguarding the lives and property of those in our city is the top priority of the men and women of Yorba Linda Police Services. Our staff of 35 sworn and 5 non-sworn members are among the most talented, dedicated and professional individuals the Orange County Sheriff’s Department has to offer.

Together we work as a team to provide excellent police services to our growing population of over 67,000 residents. It is my expectation that every member of Yorba Linda Police Services will be worthy of your trust and will serve you with the utmost professionalism, integrity, dignity and respect.

While we enjoy our service to the City of Yorba Linda, we are not alone in our endeavors. The partnerships formed within the business, faith, education, and residential communities in the city have been a key component of the success we have achieved.

Thanks to our vigilant residents, we facilitate a robust Neighborhood Watch Program with over 100 active neighborhoods in our city. We regularly work with school and church administrators to provide critical incident response training for employees and staff members.

Crime prevention education is also provided to various community groups on a regular basis. The engagement from the community has been a key component to our success in continuing to make Yorba Linda one of the safest cities in the nation. Remember, if you see something, say something. It is my great honor and privilege to serve as your Chief of Police.

Lieutenant Jarrett Kurimay,

Chief of Police Services
