These events help to meet the Department’s Vision Plan by enhancing the leisure time quality of life expectations for all who live and visit Yorba Linda. Parks and Recreation Programming Update
As part of our ongoing response to the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and to ensure the health and safety of our community and staff, following Tuesday’s executive order (PDF) from the Orange County Health Care Agency to slow the transmission of COVID-19 (coronavirus), the following Parks and Recreation events and programs have been cancelled or postponed effective immediately through May 15 including:
- Flashlight Egghunt
- Egg-citement Hunt
- Family Fun Wilderness Hike
- Movies in the Park (May 16)
- Kids’ Community Swap Meet
Movies in the park
Join us at the park to enjoy the latest family movies on our 20 ft inflatable screen! All movies will begin at dusk and seating is available on the grass so be sure to bring your own blanket or low lawn chair. This is a free event!
- June 20 - Abominable at Hurless Barton Park

- August 15 - Sonic the Hedgehog at Hurless Barton Park
- September 19 - Onward at Eastside Community Park

Celebrate Independence Day with food, games, live music and a spectacular fireworks show! You don’t want to miss this annual event!

July 4th Vendor Booth Application
The City of Yorba Linda invites non-profit and government agencies the opportunity to host a food booth, information booth, game booth, or food truck at this year’s event. This is a great opportunity to promote your organization’s services and fundraise. For more information or to submit your vendor booth application, please review the July 4th Vendor Booth Application Packet. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, May 1, 2020.
One of the fastest growing sports is available throughout the year at Brush Canyon Park on the basketball courts. This is a drop-in, first come, first served activity. Portable pickleball nets are available to be moved and placed on the basketball court that is lined for pickleball. Bring your own paddles and balls and have fun.
