The Parks and Recreation Department is proud to offer a variety of special events geared towards the entire family. These events help to meet the Department’s Vision Plan by enhancing the leisure time quality of life expectations for all who live and visit Yorba Linda. 24th Annual Flashlight Egg Hunt 

Kids ages 7-13 years old are invited to grab their basket and flashlights and hop on down to the Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House for a late night egg hunt!

When: Friday, April 10

Location: Thomas Lasorda Jr. Field House

Time: 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $10 per person

37th Annual Egg-citement hunt

Come join the celebration as the bunny "hip-hops" to Hurless Barton Park. This free event includes crafts, games, face painting, petting zoo, egg hunt and fun for the whole family! 

When: Saturday, April 11

Location: Hurless Barton Park

Time: 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

Cost: Free

family fun wilderness hike

New! Families are invited to enjoy a special morning outdoors with a 2.5 mile hike to the Redwood Grove in Carbon Canyon Regional Park. Continental breakfast and a raffle is included. The hike will be guided by staff and a park ranger will be available to provide information and answer questions.

When: Saturday, May 9

Time: 8:00 - 10:30 a.m.

Cost: $15 per family

Kid’s Community Swap Meet 

This is a unique opportunity to teach kids ages 5-15 years old about money and responsibility all while spending quality family time together! Bonus - you get to clear out your home of unwanted children’s items such as clothes, games, electronics, books and sports equipment by selling them! 

When: Saturday, May 30

Location: Yorba Linda Community Center

Time: 8:00 - 10:30 a.m.

Cost: $15 per booth

July 4th Vendor Booth Application

The City of Yorba Linda invites non-profit and government agencies the opportunity to host a food booth, information booth, game booth, or food truck at this year’s event.  This is a great opportunity to promote your organization’s services and fundraise.  For more information or to submit your vendor booth application, please review the July 4th Vendor Booth Application Packet.  The deadline to submit applications is Friday, May 1, 2020.   


One of the fastest growing sports is available throughout the year at Brush Canyon Park on the basketball courts. This is a drop-in, first come, first served activity. Portable pickleball nets are available to be moved and placed on the basketball court that is lined for pickleball. Bring your own paddles and balls and have fun.
