Upcoming Family Fun & Special Events

The Parks and Recreation Department is proud to offer a variety of special events geared towards the entire family. These events meet the Department’s Vision Plan by enhancing the leisure-time quality of life expectations for all who live and visit Yorba Linda. Please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 714-961-7160 for more information.

Parks and Recreation Programming Update

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, some of your family's favorite special events will look a little different this year. Parks and Recreation staff are hard at work making plans to ensure these events run in a safe manner.

As part of our ongoing response to the evolving COVID-19 (novel Coronavirus) situation and to ensure the health and safety of our community and staff, following the executive order from the Orange County Health Care Agency and the Regional Stay at Home Order to slow the transmission of COVID19 (novel Coronavirus), the Yorba Linda Parks and Recreation Department has indefinitely postponed the Mother-Daughter Fairy Princess Tea and the Daddy Daughter Superhero Dance events. We look forward to resuming these events in the future when we can ensure those in attendance are fully satisfied and enjoy their experience.

The Parks and Recreation Department welcomes all Geocaching enthusiasts and newcomers to visit our local parks, facilities, and trails to find caches! Whether you are a Geocaching pro or don't know what Geocaching is, don't worry, it's super fun and easy. Each month a new cache will be hidden at a Yorba Linda park, facility, or trail for geocachers to find. This is a great way to get out and explore the numerous city facilities throughout Yorba Linda and see what they offer you and your family. After finding the cache, don't forget to sign the paper scroll inside and take a picture of the "Benefit of Recreation" listed on the top of the scroll. Send that picture to YLParksandRec@yorbalindaca.gov to be entered into a quarterly raffle to win a Yorba Linda Parks and Recreation swag bag! New caches will be hidden and released each month. To participate, in Geocaching, the free Geocaching app is required and is available for both apple and android devices. Let the hunting begin!
