Election Information


The City of Yorba Linda is a General Law City, governed by a five-member City Council who is elected at-large, and each hold a four-year term. A person is ineligible to hold office as a member of the City Council if that person has served in the office for three full terms.

General municipal elections are held on the first Tuesday of November in all even-numbered years. The City Clerk serves as the Elections Officer and is responsible for the issuance and acceptance of nomination papers, City Measures and the publication of all legal notices. All campaign and conflict of interest filings required by the Fair Political Practices Commission are centralized in the City Clerk's Office.
