Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP)
The purpose of a Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP) is to achieve a level of storm water runoff pollution prevention and abatement that would ensure the health of our local waterways and beaches. The WQMP prescribes post-construction Best Management Practices (BMPs) for the property to accomplish this goal. All projects that require a WQMP shall use the city’s templates and enter into an operation, transfer, maintenance, and right of entry agreement.
Projects must incorporate low impact development (LID) principles in the design as part of the WQMP requirements as outlined in the MS4 permit (PDF), WQMP Template (DOC) and Technical Guidance Document (PDF).
