Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP)
The purpose of a Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP) is to achieve a level of stormwater runoff pollution prevention and abatement that would ensure the health of our local waterways and beaches. The WQMP prescribes post-construction Best Management Practices (BMPs) for the property to accomplish this goal. All projects that require a WQMP shall use the city’s templates and enter into an operation, transfer, maintenance, and right-of-entry agreement.
Projects must incorporate low-impact development (LID) principles in the design as part of the WQMP requirements as outlined in the MS4 permit (PDF), WQMP Template (DOC), and Technical Guidance Document (PDF).
