The City Manager's Office is responsible for the implementation of decisions established by the Yorba Linda City Council and the coordination of those efforts through the various City departments.

The over-arching goal of the City Manager's Office is to manage the day-to-day administration of the City to maximize efficiency, economy, and public confidence in local government. The City Manager's Office assists the City Council in the development and formulation of policies, goals, and objectives and keeps them informed of important community issues. It provides administrative direction to the City's Department Heads and is responsible for managing the activities and operations of the City, ensuring the provision of quality services.

Reporting Structure

The City Manager is hired directly by the City Council. All Department Heads report to the City Manager, except the City Attorney, who reports directly to the City Council.
